Where are you hiding your melons?
Here is Elspeth from Rowan 37. Started beg July. Completed end July. Knit up in Knit Picks Shine in Blush. I loved this project especially because it encouraged me to learn to crochet.
I love it. Its a real boob cover-up. Especially for those conscious days when your melons are looking like Watermelons!

Hi, I love your Elsbeth and I am attempting to knit one also. I was wondering if you would entertain a knitting question as I immediately ran into a problem when starting the back.

Thanks a bunch, I started Elsbeth but as I mentioned immediately ran into a problem because I'm doing size small and only a part of the lace repeat is in it so the whole stitch count is off. Should I just forget about the 'partial' repeat and only incoporate it when there are enough stitches? Am I clear at all? I don't have the book with me but you may see what I mean. I appreciate your help. Teri
P.S. I'm doing mine in brown!
Scary, but Teri I think I understand you. The pattern repeat is really confusing, I had to rip mine out a couple of times and start over. I've re-written this 3 times now for it read simply, I hope it does!
I started with the basics and used post-it notes to cover the parts of the pattern repeat that I was not using (then moved the post-its with the increases and decreases). I even penciled out extra repeats at each end to help me. I did incorporated 'partial' repeats where I was able to do the yarn over's with the k2tog, but so as not to have an eyelet on the edge st... if that makes sense.
Brown, love it already. Dont forget to email a pic when your finished.

Thanks again for your advice. I understood your direction perfectly once I started knitting and now I've finished two 12 row repeats successfully. Rowan should add your directions as I'll bet I wasn't the only one confused. I will post a picture when I'm finished but that will also be a learning curve as I don't know how to upload(?) a picture. Teri
