Last night we had the sedar at my parents. We wanted to start early because of the kids. No worries about that, we had the Ma Nish Ta Na, a few sips of wine and the whole shabbang piled on a matz0. It was over before you could count to three.
Even though I was totally suffed after a lovely meal cooked by the best mum in the world, I had to try my baking. My stick in the throat cake (Plavah) just didn't stick in the throat. I was amazed, well, not totally as I do consider myself a bit of
a Balebuste. I was pleased to see that the Boobalah's cooking went down a treat.
We spent all day baking and making Mama's Mutzo Cookies...
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups of matzo meal
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 cup ground almonds
Cream butter and sugar, add all other ingredients and mix well.
Roll out thin on a board sprinkled with matzo meal.
Cut and bake in a 375 oven for 12 mins.
We cut out speciality areoplanes and ducks, just because the Boobalah wanted to.
