An Affair to Remember...

This certainly is my very own affair to remember. I finally "get" River.

Yes, I admit I'm the first to say we started off on a bit of a rough ride, we even ended our affair at one point. I threw River down, I ripped it off my needles. I even ripped KSH *gasp*. But now, I'm happy to say we are getting along just fine. We started over, right from scratch, back to basics and counting stitches as they were knitted. And, KSH doesn't seem to hate my fingers as much now, she slips smoothly off the bamboos.

I'm still taking it slowly - I want the smooth patches of this affair to last.

You guys, your all so lovely. Thanks for your support and encouragement during the rough times. I'm gonna still need some love until this ride is over!!

Maybe one day I'll take River to the top of the Empire State Building!

Aw, An Affair to Remember... what a classic! And River will be a classic, too. It looks so pretty and lacy already and it's not even blocked.
